How I met Nicole ...

It is actually really unique how I met my wife.  A friend of mine had told me about this place on the net to meet 'Christian women.'  To be honest, meeting a woman was the last thought on my mind.  I had been in a relationship that had not worked out and was just trying to get on with my life.

However, my friend continually told me that I should check this site out.  I finally did.  In the beginning, I was only trying to find a few pen-pals.  To be honest, I did.  I found several people who are now good friends.

One day, I decided to write a letter to a girl from Central America.  I know a missionary couple in Belize City, Belize.  When I read that this girl was from there, I wrote to say hello.  I thought it was neat that she was in Belize.  What I did not know, was that she was no longer in Belize.  Although she was born there and her family live there, she was 'state-side.' 

After several conversations, I discovered that she was in fact an international student and she lived only two hours from me.  After weeks of speaking with her and hours of prayer, I finally asked her out.  We went on our first date and the rest is history ... it is hard to believe that it all began on the net.  The Lord truly works in mysterious ways.
